Speech of Executive Director

It gives me immense pleasure to write of few words for SARA. Its a non government organization which has emerged to be a viable entity through its efficient functioning over the past years. SARA Establish in 1983 from the begging its journey it had been carrying out the development activities with target and vulnerable people particularly of rural areas aiming to promoting their socio-economic, gender and human rights situation.Apart from the economic progress of the country there has been a lot of development in various important social indicators in the country. The average life expectancy of Bangladesh has increase of 73 years.At the time of independence it was 46 years. Education rate increased 76%. Women’s empowerment has increased. We are for ahead among south Asian countries. However we have to go a long  way in establishing the proper status of women. Progress has also been made in the health sector. But there are still many gaps in the health and education sectors.  Much inclusivity in education has come a long way but the quality of education remains questionable at all levels. So we need to work together to make the next generation more dynamic. The whole organization is working tirelessly to establish human rights.
